Annotation:

PONEC – the dance venue is again involved in the international project "European Theatre Night" and is presenting an original program on Saturday, 18 November where you can immerse yourself in the world of theatre as an active spectator.

Screening of the film "Hello? Is anyone there? Sending messages about dance and more into space" 16:00 – 16:45 main auditorium / english friendly!

The film starts at 16:00 in order to also accommodate families with children. Petra Tejnorová and Tereza Ondrová asked random children to share their imaginative views about how they conceive of dance. Thus a film entitled "Hello? Is anyone there? Sending messages about dance and more into space" was created.

How do children see their lives today? What would they say about themselves, about people and the earth as a whole to those who may live on other planets or elsewhere in the universe? How could they describe what dance is? A short documentary intended for adults and children who love science fiction, dance and other adventures.

The screening will be followed by a practical animation workshop for children.
Workshop 16:45 – 17:30 lower foyer

Audience discussion 17:00 – 17:30 café bar in the upper floor of the foyer
Everyone interested in the methods of actively involving spectators is invited to the theatre at 17:00 for a discussion on the topic of the European project Be SpectACTive! Audiences will discuss the same questions about their experiences and relationship to theatre in seven European venues.

Documentary workshop on the topic of letters 17:30 – 19:00 main auditorium
Tereza Krčálová, who worked closely on the performance of DEVOID using the verbatim method, created by British theatre and film director Stephen Daldry, will present the topic. It is most often used for so-called docudrama. The audience will try out the method for themselves.

Audience discussion 19:00 – 19:30 café bar in the upper floor of the foyer
After 19:00 as part of European Spectators Day, audiences of PONEC will again join other partners of the Be SpectACTive! project in order to share the most interesting reactions to common themes.

Performance 20:00 – 20:50 main auditorium
Michal Záhora's DEVOID, which was created using the verbatim method thanks to the Be SpectACTive! project, will be performed at 20:00 on the PONEC stage.

Moderated discussion 21:00 – 21:30 main auditorium
After the performance spectators are invited to a moderated discussion in order to ask both artists questions based not only on what they have seen on stage but also their own experiences from previous workshops. The discussion will feature choreographer and dancer Michal Záhora and dramaturg and translator Tereza Krčálová, and will be
moderated by Yvona Kreuzmannová, director of Tanec Praha, a partner of the Be SpectACTive! project.

At the end of the evening, the audience can head back to the theatre's café bar and resume the informal discussion.
