Lenka Kniha Bartůňková

Dancer, choreographer and dance teacher Lenka Kniha Bartůňková, a graduate of the Duncan Centre conservatory in Prague and the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen, has gathered a wealth of experience from her long time working in Germany and Spain.

She has worked together with numerous Czech and foreign choreographers and artists (Robert Olivan, Lorca Renoux, Samir Akika, La Fura dels Baus, Norbert Steinwartz, Ioana Mona Popovici and Chikako Kaido). To this day she works intensively with German group Renegade theater, which focuses on combining contemporary and street dance, breakdance and visual art.

In 2005 she won first prize in the Jarmila Jeřábková choreography competition. She was twice nominated for the main award for discovery in dance in the Sazka Award choreography contest, which she won in 2008 for her piece Knihovna. In 2010 she represented the Czech Republic at the international EXPO 2010 in Shanghai.
