Refuge
In London in the summer of 2017, the artists conducted interviews with a community of young people who had experienced a limit situation in Tibet. Moments both unbearable and opaque, absurd and unexpected, are painful lessons and at the same time a chance to discover real values and what cannot be explained.
We pass through a rugged landscape, which – though we often do not realize it – is mainly in the mind.
Seven outstanding music and dance performers from four countries were inspired by real stories of courage, compassion and perseverance. They wordlessly share them in a powerful emotional statement that straddlesthe genres of dance, theatre and concert. The production is for those who are on the Path.
The project is a Tanec Praha production within the European Be SpectACTive! project. This performance will be an "international debut" as well as a preview before the world premiere, which will take place at the TANEC PRAHA Festival in the new space of the DOX Centre for Contemporary Art. Viewers will be able to watch an early phase of the production without costumes and lights.
