Bio:
Petr Boháč is a director, scenographer, Czech literature expert, occasional artist and passionate poker player. Spitfire Company, which he founded with his wife Miřenka Čechová, is based in Prague and extends to the international context. His works were seen in more than 20 countries, for example Japan, China, Korea, USA, Israel, South Africa and Norway. Some of his works have received international and Czech awards, such as The Herald Angel Award, Aerowaves Priority Companies 2014, Theatre Newspaper Awards, Festival Next Wave Awards and the Czech Dance Platform Award. His poetics is based on looking for untried theatre methods, transgressive impulses and resonant themes in society. The main idea of this searching process is in the urgency of exceeding and counteracting the prohibitions which a human being constantly places on
himself.
