Annotation:
This project by Dora Hoštová offers a view of the origin of a work from various perspectives. Viewers rarely think about what goes into a finished performance. What would happen if they watched the process of its creation? What do individual movements signify? What meanings do expression and gesture contain? What influence do sound and music have on our impression of a performance?
And why do so few of us attend dance performances and frequently misunderstand them… With no story, no humour, no perspective... "Often too little and yet too much," says Dora Hoštová, who also dances in the production. The inspiration from Franz Kafka's famous novel is no coincidence.
The show will be followed by a short movie Proces (2015) by Johana Švarcová about creativity, financial background and grants in a dance theater.
Review:
„Zázraky se dějí, pomyslela jsem si po několika minutách sledování Procesu Dory Sulženko Hoštové a Jana Čtvrtníka v Nodu. Co scéna, to překvapení. Skvělí a neokoukaní protagonisté, živý, aktivní sound (Johanka Švarcová), choreografie s minimem stereotypů, nepředvídatelná struktura a ošidně formulovatelné téma."
