PLI is a new project on the border line between dance, circus and performance by Viktor Černický. In this physical reflection of Leibniz's philosophy a single performer throws himself in a labor for schizophrenic reconstruction of the Universe. Whether it is the architecture of space or design of our thoughts, PLI is confronting these fragile structures with endless human dynamics. In strictly limited space and with 22 conference chairs, baroque robustness is replaced with spatial modesty and material minimalism compensates the heavy accumulation of motives.

„My interest in ply emerged while reading a magical-realistic trilogy Our Ancestors by Italo Calvino, and grew along with reading Gilles Deleuze's stirring philosophical text PLY, in which the author describes the baroque era from the point of view of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz.

„The idea leading me to creating a performance on the topic of Ply thus unreeled from Calvino's bend of fiction and non-fiction, and from Leibniz's need to reflect the reality that, to a single human being, is always transcending.“ Viktor Černický
