M A Y E N was formed in 2013 as a solo project by Lukáš Vydra, a songwriter and former guitarist of synthpop band Girls on Drugs (now Deaths). Over time the project grew into a regular live band. The aktualne.cz website ranked Mayen among the greatest discoveries of 2014 in the alternative scene.
