Oona Doherty (UK): Hope Hunt and the ascension into Lazarus
Oona Doherty shows the purification of a man. She guides you through dirty Europe and sets off with you in search of hope. From the darkness you suddenly land into the bright light like a bird of paradise. This episode from the "Hard to Be Soft" series is an attempt to deconstruct ideas about men in this world. It creates characters of all types of men based on Irish stereotypes.
On the borders of physical theatre the performer transforms herself into various beings. Through word, movement and sound you will circle together with her around ideas of masculinity, morality and nostalgia, teetering on the fragile boundary between comedy and tragedy. Struggle through the cultural and social stereotypes and realize the meaning of believing in oneself.

People conceal oceans: huge, dark (and chaotic) spaces... But when we try to understand someone else, we run out of energy, and so we decide to leave, even though we never stop thinking about them. Sooner or later we realize, however, that one look can never encompass an entire ocean.
Observing a discussion, witnessing a car accident, stepping into a historic building, standing next to a celebrity, going to a funeral, visiting an exotic country, walking along a busy street: the testimony of things and the impatient consideration of the absolute categorical facts constantly taking place around us that without even realizing we pass by unnoticed.
