Miřenka Čechová is one of the most exciting performers to combine dance and physical theatre in the Czech Republic and abroad. After graduating from the Dance Conservatory in Prague, she went on to the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague where she studied alternative theatre at DAMU (Theatre Faculty) and non-verbal theatre at HAMU (Music and Dance Faculty) and obtained her doctorate in 2012. As a performer she has appeared in over 18 full-length productions, many of which have received major awards (S/He is Nancy Joe, The Voice of Anne Frank, Antiwords and others). As a director and choreographer she has created more than ten full-length productions, e.g. Sniper's Lake, FAiTH, Fragments of Love Images. She is the co-founder of the Spitfire Company (along with Petr Boháč) and Tantehorse (along with Radim Vizváry).
