Bio:

David Guerra comes from Biscay in Spain. After studying at the dance conservatory in Madrid he worked as a dancer and teacher in the Transdanza project, in which he had the opportunity to encounter various choreographic approaches. He also gained experience in other projects and cooperation initiatives, such as the Alas abiertas integrated dance organization for children and youth and the Aracaladanza Dance Company, which specializes in creating performances for children and their parents. In 2012, David decided to take all of that experience and start his own company. At Kubuk Danza he works as a choreographer and performer and develops his own choreographic language, which examines the body in situations where vertical axis is lost.

David Guerra has garnered attention recently with his work Outline, for which he won the Certamen choreográphico de Madrid 2015 Critics' Award and Special Jury Prize.
