Bio:
Jone San Martin comes from Spain, where she studied at the Theatre Institute in Barcelona before graduating from the famous MUDRA dance school in Brussels, founded by Maurice Béjárt. She became a member of renowned dance companies, such as Compañía Nacional de Danza in Madrid, or the German Ulmer Theater and the Jacopo Godani Company in Brussels. In 1992 she joined the Frankfurt ballet, led by William Forsythe, and in 2005 she transferred to his independent The Forsythe Company, where she danced until the troupe came to an end in 2015. She is now a member of the DANCE ON ENSEMBLE in Berlin. Jone has danced in most of the major works of Forsythe, but has also created her own rich authorial portfolio, which includes both solo and group projects.
